Education for Peace
At Milton Montessori, peace education is a fundamental part of who we are, deeply inspired by Dr. Maria Montessori’s vision of global interconnectedness.
We work to build a more peaceful world by fostering compassion, understanding, and equality in our classrooms and beyond. Social-emotional learning is at the heart of our approach, supporting each child’s well-being while nurturing a strong sense of community.
Our goal is not only academic growth but the development of empathetic, globally minded citizens. Grounded in Montessori ideals, we see each child as part of a shared human family. By centering students in their own learning, we ensure that every experience helps lay the foundation for a more peaceful future.
“Everyone talks about peace but no one educates for peace. In this world, they educate for competition, and competition is the beginning of any war. When educating to cooperate and owe each other solidarity, that day we will be educating for peace.” – Dr. Maria Montessori.

Our International Festival is a vibrant celebration of culture, diversity, and community spirit.
The event brings together families, students, and staff to share traditions, stories, food, music, and customs from around the world.
The children work hard in preparation for the festival, exploring different continents and diverse cultures through engaging lessons and fun crafts. Their creativity and enthusiasm help bring each region to life, offering guests a hands-on, educational, and memorable experience.
With colorful displays, interactive booths, traditional performances, and international cuisine, the festival offers something for everyone. More than just a celebration, it serves as an opportunity to build empathy and understanding by highlighting both the uniqueness and shared values across cultures.
This event brings our community together in a special way and provides a meaningful opportunity for fellowship. It is a beautiful reminder of the power of unity in diversity.

Growing Together: Families Unite to Care for Our Garden
Our school community comes together in a beautiful way as families join forces to clean up our gardens and plant new crops. With gloves on and shovels in hand, children and parents work side by side to pull weeds, prepare soil, and plant fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
This hands-on event not only helps keep our garden thriving, but also teaches responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of caring for our environment. It’s a special time for families to connect, enjoy the outdoors, and make lasting memories together.
The garden cleanup and planting day is more than just a project , it’s a celebration of community, growth, and shared purpose.
