At Milton Montessori, we believe that even the youngest child is full of potential. Our infant and toddler environments are thoughtfully designed to nurture natural curiosity and development through freedom, beauty, and order.

A Nurturing Start-to-Life and Learning
Our infant classroom is a peaceful, light-filled space that encourages exploration and independence. Low shelves hold age-appropriate toys and books, while floor-level mirrors invite self-discovery. The classroom is divided into areas that promote movement, sensory experiences, and calm engagement. On warm days, children enjoy time in our outdoor classroom and garden spaces.

Gentle Guidance, Individualized Attention
Our dedicated infant guides are warm, attentive, and trained in the Montessori method. With a 1:4 guide-to-student ratio—meeting AMS standards—we ensure each child receives personalized care during these foundational years.

Practical Life: Learning to drink from a bottle, then a cup, and eventually eat independently.

Sensorial: Exploring the world through touch, sound, and movement.

Language: Building vocabulary and early communication skills through rich interaction.

Art and Music: Singing, dancing, and movement activities that support large motor development.

Daily Schedule:

8:00 AM – 8:30 AM:	Welcome / Arrival / Gentle Transitions
8:30 AM – 10:00 AM:	Work Cycle / Floor Time (independent & guided exploration)
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM:	Morning nap
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM:	Lunch time / Dismissal for Half-Day Students
12:00 PM – 12:30 PM:	Outdoor exploration / Nature walks
12:30 PM – 1:00 PM:	Circle Time / Floor Time (songs, stories, movement)
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM:	Afternoon Nap
2:00 PM – 2:45 PM:	Snack / Clean-Up / transitions
2:45 PM – 3:00 PM:	Dismissal for Full-Day students
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM:	Aftercare Program (Work Cycle, calm play, snacks, songs, and movement)

Diapers are changed every two hours; BM’s are changed immediately
