Toddler Curriculum (18 months - 3 years)

At Milton Montessori, we embrace Dr. Maria Montessori’s belief that the foundation of a child’s greatness begins at birth. Rooted in the Montessori philosophy of “following the child,” our toddler program nurtures each child’s natural curiosity and their appreciation for order, simplicity and beauty. We’ve created an environment that supports learning through discovery and sensory experiences—honoring the unique pace and path of every child.

A Purposeful Environment for Growing Minds

Our toddler classroom is spacious, warm, and filled with natural light, providing an inviting atmosphere where young children feel safe and free to explore. Thoughtfully prepared areas promote movement, discovery, and independence. Shelves are stocked with engaging materials and books, and floor-level mirrors inspiring curiosity and self-awareness. Daily outdoor time in our gardens and nature classroom further enriches their experiences—inviting joy, connection, and learning in the natural world.

Gentle Guides & Meaningful Connections
With a 1:6 guide-to-student ratio, our passionate and attentive Montessori-trained staff provide individualized care and support. Each interaction is rooted in respect, patience, and trust—encouraging toddlers to grow in confidence and independence.

Our Toddler Curriculum Includes:

Practical Life:  Supporting independence with skills like drinking from a cup, eating on their own, and participating in daily tasks.

Sensorial: Exploring the world through touch, sound, and movement—laying the foundation for cognitive growth.

Language: Building vocabulary and communication skills through rich language experiences.

Art and Music: Developing large motor skills and creativity through singing, dancing, climbing, balancing, and movement.

We invite you to visit and experience how our toddler environment supports joyful learning from the very beginning.
